What's Happening in Laser Therapy
Veterinary Science & Laser Therapy
Veterinary researchers are pioneering use of laser therapy techniques
for the treatment of pain in animals. Low Level Laser Therapy (LLLT) has been discovered as an effective treatment for cancer pain and
prevention and reduction of oral mucositis in animals. BioMedLaser
hopes to introduce a LaserMD package optimized for use in veterinary
science. Click here to read more about these developments. BioMedLaser has just introducted Laser packages designed for Veterinary Medicine with coverage for both large and small animals. Complete treatment protocols are also included. For details click here or visit VetMD on the Products page.
Conditions Seeing Improvement from Laser Therapy:
Abscesses, Ulcerations, Muscle-strain, Bursitis, Post-Surgical Wounds, Tendonitis, Navicular Syndrome, Sprains, Fractures, Ulcerations, Bursitis Tenosynovitis, BackPain, Post-Op Wounds
Super-pulsed Lasers:
Use of pulsed lasers continues to gain acceptance in LLLT as an effective
means of delivering controller laser power in a safe manner. Super-pulsed
lasers are a type of pulsed Gallium Arsenide (GA-AS) laser in
which each pulse is extremely short (0.1 ms) with as many as 1000 pulses
per second. Peak power can reach several thousand watts per pulse.
