EquineMD Package
Laser Systems for Equine Veterinarians
Veterinary medicine has never seen healing like this before.
Through evidence-based research, vets, trainers and therapists can reduce pain, increase healing and address difficult issues through the non-invasive, drug-free BioMed cold laser system. The system is designed to allow veterinarians to deal with wounds, soft tissue injuries, joint conditions, and acute and chronic pain for small and large animals.
We offer 3 types of lasers to deal with 3 types of tissue.
(A) 660nm (red) laser for wounds and skin issues to improve cellular metabolism, circulation, debris cleaning, increases tensil strength in soft and connective tissue.
(B) 830nm (infrared) laser for muscle, ligament and tendon issues that also help increase b-endorphins and nitric oxide, cell proliferation in satellite and precursor cells-muscles and decrease bradykinin levels.
(C) 904nm is the longest wavelength with high-power which allows this laser to penetrate deep into the body without causing pain. Effective in normalizing nerve signal transmission, anxonal sprouting and some nerve regeneration, proliferation and maturation of osteoblasts (enhancement of alkaline phoshatase, osteopontin and bone sialoprotein). This laser outperforms all other lasers for reduction of inflammation.
With These lasers you can treat a wide range of conditions like pain, soft tissue damage, bone fractures and nerve pain in large animals. The system allows multiple lasers to operate at one time so one or several condition can be treated at once. It is important to obtain depth of penetration in order to help the body heal quickly. The LaserMD has 84 preprogrammed conditions which change depth of penetration with the touch of a button. You can laser millimeters down for skin related conditions or centimeters for deep muscle and spinal conditions.
The VetMD Package Includes:
Veterinary Protocol Manual:
27 clinical protocols currently are in use in research centers and clinics across the U.S. The Manual includes easy to follow anatomical diagrams. New protocols available 6/07.
LaserMD-2 control console:
Designed to allow simultaneous operation of two different lasers at one time, the MD-2 console helps you treat one condition in half the time for two areas simultaneously. The control console is portable which is critical for Vet operation and has seen extensive use in both small animal clinics and research centers around the world. It allows running custom protocols.
