Is it covered under my insurance?
It depends upon your insurance policy. Many patients have been partially or fully covered. The other benefit is that purchasing a system falls under the IRS rule 179 and might be fully tax-deductable for you. Please check with your accountant and insurance before purchasing any system to see what benefits are available to you.
Do I need a prescription to buy a Laser?
YES. You will need a prescription from a practicing physician deemed eligible to write prescriptions in their practicing state. The Food and Drug Administration along with state and local regulatory agencies regulate who can purchase a system. If you have questions or need a referral please call us at (800) 638-7913.
Is the PatientMD Laser as powerful as the one used in Hospitals?
YES. You all get the same great benefits with this laser system as you would in hospitals or doctors offices.
Will my unit be shipped to me?
YES. You will receive your users guide operation manual, customized protocol book and PatientMD System delivered to your door in an easy to use carrying case. Full instruction manual is included!
Is the medical laser tax deductible?
YES. Most patients report being able to deduct the PatientMD from their taxes based on IRS rule 179. Please consult with your CPA before purchasing this or any laser system.
Do I need to wear the goggles?
YES. Two laser safety goggles come with the laser package. One is for the patient to wear and the other for anyone assisting in lasering or in the room while the laser is in use. The FDA contraindication for these lasers is damage to the eyes. Wearing the provided laser goggles will help protect your eyes. No one should ever look into or at the laser light.
How much does the PatientMD System cost?
The PatientMD Package price depends upon your needs as to what type of pain you have. We accept visa and mastercard.
